Volvo's luxury SUV has secured a five-star rating in the Euro NCAP safety tests. It scored particularly highly for adult protection, with the XC90's standard autonomous emergency braking system that was tested was capable of bringing the car to a halt before a collision occured in all of its tests, there by earning maximum points.
The XC90 also scored 100% for its safety assistance systems, which all feature as standard.
The XC90 also features advanced pedestrian protection functionality that independent safety regulators have yet to include in their testing protocols, demonstrating once again how the Swedish carmaker continues to dominate and innovate in the field of car safety.
