Aston Martin unveiled the Bond Edition DB9 GT on Thursday saying that for more than half a century Aston Martin has been the sports car of choice for the world's most famous spy, James Bond.
Aston Martin make beautiful looking luxury sports cars but it is hard to see Bond driving this car with 007 and James Bond plastered gaudily over the interior and on sill plates.
The cars are painted in "unique Spectre silver" and there are "special" wheels while other branding add ons include special luggage and a watch. And no, ejector seats, machines guns etc are not part of the add ons.
Enthusiastic Bond fanatics may rejoice in the vehicle, but it has simply been produced to piggyback on the release of Spectre, the latest in the Bond movie saga, which is due out later this year.
Sure 007 has driven plenty of Aston Martins over the past 50 years, but the company would surely get more street cred if its limited edition was based on the special DB10 model the master spy actually stars with in Spectre.
Special Features of the car:
Craftsmanship: "Hand made in England"
Power: Zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds
Price: Same price as a tract house
