How Search Tools Works?

Explanation is here bellow ....!!

The Web can be incredible resource, providing information on nearly any topic imaginable. Are you planning a trip? Writing an economics paper? Looking for a movie review? Trying to locate a long-lost friend? Information sources related to these questions, and much, much more, are available on the web. With over 20 Billions pages and more being added daily, the web is a massive collection of interrelated pages. With so much available information, locating the precise information you need can be difficult. Fortunately, a number of organizations called search services operate Web sites that can help you locate information you need. They maintain huge databases relating to information provided on the web and the Internet.

The information stored at these databases includes addresses, content descriptions or classifications, and keywords appearing on Web pages and other Internet Informational resources. Special Programs called Spiders continually look for new information and update the search services’ databases. Additionally, search services provide special programs called search engines that you can use to locate specific information on the web.

Do You Know The Concept of Instant Messaging (IM)?

http://www.technorect.com/2014/09/do-you-know-concept-of-instant.html

Do You Know The Concept of Instant Messaging (IM)? If You Want to know so see the following Information......!!

Instant messaging (IM) allows two or more people to contact each other via direct, live communication. To use instant messaging, you register with an instant messaging server and then specify a list of Friends. Whenever you connect to the Internet, special software informs your messaging server that you are online. In response, the server will notify you if any of your friends are online. At the same time, it notifies your friends that your friends are online. You can then send messages directly back and forth to one another. Most instant messaging programs also include video conferencing features, file sharing, and remote assistance. Many businesses routinely use these instant messaging features.

The Most widely used instant messaging services are Rediff BOL Instant Messenger, Microsoft’s MSN Messenger, one limitation, however, is that many instant messaging services do not support communication with other services. For example, at the time of this writing,  a user registered with yahoo cannot use yahoo’s instant messenger to communicate with a user registered with Rediff BOL. Recently, however, some software companies have started providing universal instant messenger programs that overcome this limitation. For example, Gain Odigo, and Trillian provide instant messaging services that do
support communication with other services.

Similarity Of The Internet and the Telephone System

http://www.technorect.com/2014/09/similarity-of-internet-and-telephone.html

The Internet and the telephone system are similar-you can connect a computer to the Internet much like you connect a phone to the telephone system. Once you are on the internet, your computer becomes an extension of what seems like a giant computer-a computer that branch all over the world. When provided with a connection to the Internet, you can use a browser program to search Web.

PROVIDERS

The most common way to access the Internet is through an Internet service provider (ISP). The providers are already connected to the Internet and provide a path or connection for individuals to access the Internet. Your college or university most likely provides you with free access to the Internet either through its local area networks or through a dial-up or telephone connection. There are also some companies that offer free Internet access.

The most widely used commercial Internet service providers are national and
wireless providers.

•    National service providers like BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited), VSNL (Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited) are the widely used. They provide access through standard telephone or cable connections. Users can access the Internet from almost anywhere within the country for a standard fee without incurring long-distance telephone charges.

•    Wireless service providers offer Internet connections for computers with wireless modems and a wide array of wireless devices. As we will discuss In Chapter 9, users connect to ISPs using one of a variety of connection technologies including DSL, cable, and wireless modems.

What is Database Management System (DBMS)?

http://www.technorect.com/2014/04/what-is-database-management-system-dbms.html
DBMS is a collection of programs related to store, retrieve, update, and delete the information data from a database. It manages incoming data, organizes it, and provides ways for the data to be modified or extracted by users or other programs.

There are several types of databases include

MySQL: - It is the most popular Open Source SQL database management system. This is a relational database stores data in separate tables rather than putting all the data in one big storeroom.  The SQL stands for “Structured Query Language” part of “MySQL” which is used to access databases. The MySQL Database Server is very fast, reliable, scalable, and easy to use. The MySQL Database Software is a client/server system that consists of a multi-threaded SQL server that supports different backend. A large amount of contributed MySQL software is available.

PostgreSQL:- It is an open-source object-relational database management system (ORDBMS) with an emphasis on extensibility and standards-compliance. PostgreSQL manages concurrency through a system known as multiversion concurrency control (MVCC), which gives each transaction a snapshot of the database, allowing changes to be made without being visible to other transactions until the changes are committed. PostgreSQL has built-in support for Plain SQL, PL/pgSQL which resembles Oracle's PL/SQL procedural language and SQL/PSM. C which allows loading custom shared libraries into the database.

Microsoft Access:-MS Access is a Relational Database Management System. Microsoft Access contains a DBMS engine that creates, processes, and administers the database. It is a member of the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Microsoft Access stores data in its own format based on the Access Jet Database Engine. Access stores all database tables, queries, forms, reports, macros, and modules in the Access.

SQL Server:-SQL Serveris a relational database management system developed by Microsoftwhose primary function is to store and retrieve data as requested by other software applications.
FileMaker:-FileMaker Pro is a cross-platform relational database application. It integrates a database engine with a GUI-based interface. FileMaker evolved from a DOS application.FileMaker server briefly ran on Linux. FileMaker Pro makes it easy to create custom solutions for managing business information on iPad, iPhone, Windows, Mac and the web.

Oracle, RDBMS:-Oracle introduced the first commercial Relational Database Management System .Oracle Database will run on many Operating Systems.Data storage and retrieval are implemented with simple tables. Provides data consistency as well as data concurrency.Supports very large size databases. So it is very beneficial for multinational organizations having billion of records.rs a Relational Database Management System
dBASE:- dBASE was one of the first and in its day the most successful DBMS for microcomputers. dBASE's underlying file format, the .dbf file, is widely used in applications needing a simple format to store structured data.DBase is designed to manipulate relational databases. DBase uses procedural functions and commands similar to the BASIC language.

Clipper:-Clipper is a computer programming language. it is a powerful general-purpose programming language, it was primarily used to create database/business programs.Clipper was originally createdas a compiler for dBASE III

FoxPro:-FoxPro is a text-based procedurally orientedprogramming language and DBMS. it does support relationships between tables. It is both an interpreter and true compiler. FoxPro supports arithmetic functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It also provides many special mathematical and financial functions. it could be any of thousands of applications in business, education, engineering, and the professions, the sciences and other fields. In general, a database consists of number of RECORDS.

Advantages of DBMS                                                           Disadvantages of DBMS

Get Easily Known About Computer Networking System

http://www.technorect.com/2014/03/get-easily-known-about-computer.html

Computer network or data communication network is a group of stations (computer) or nodes that allows exchange data through media with rules and regulation (protocols).

Today world is known as computer world because of every sector or work have done on computer making faster and faster. Computer networking making each and every task easy, fast.

Computer network is invention of humans best of best technology in data communication. All worlds distance has become small to each other within few seconds on one click.

Following are the Types of Computer Networking System:

LAN is known as Local Area Network which is known as Private network and computes interconnect in a limited area such as institute, school, office, organization, corporate, within one building. For communication in LAN use TCP/IP protocol. Within LAN we can design topology (Mapping) which is Bus topology, Star topology, Ring topology, Mesh topology.

WAN is known as Wide Area Network. WAN is a network that covers a broad area i.e., any telecommunications network that links across metropolitan, regional or geographical area. A WAN often contains multiple local area networks (LANs) and/or metropolitan area networks. The world's most popular WAN is the Internet.Wan technologies generally function at the lower three layers of the OSI reference model. WAN technologies are FreamRealy, ATM technologies.

MAN is a metropolitan area networking which two or more computers or communicating devices or networks which are geographically separated but in same metropolitan city and is connected to each other. MAN is a larger geographical area than a LAN. Scope of MAN falls between a WAN and LAN. Some technologies used ATM, FDDI, and SMDI. MAN links between network without cables using microwave, radio, or infra-red laser links.

For transferring Data within networking us need media which are known as guided (physical cabling) and unguided media (air media). We can call as wired technology and wireless technology. In wired technology we use cables, twisted cable, Fiber optical cable which is flows electric signals. In wireless media we use Air and radio,Infra-red signals for transmission of data.

Simple Way to know Search Engine

Search engines are specialized programs that assist you in locating information on the Web and the Internet. To find Information, you go to search service’s Web site and use its search engine, this search engine, like most others, provides two different search approaches.

Keyword search:

In a Keyword search, you enter a keyword or phrase reflecting the information you want. The search engine compares your entry against its database and returns a list of hits, or sites that contain the keywords. Each hit includes a hyperlink to the referenced Web page
(or other resource) along with a brief discussion of the information contained at the location. Many searches result in a large number of hits.

For example, if you were to enter the keyword travel, you would get thousands of hits. Search engines order the hits according to those sites that most likely contain the information requested and present the list to you in that order, usually in groups of 10.

Directory search:

Most search engines also provide a directory or list of categories or topics such as Autos, Finance, and Games. In a Directory search, you select category or topic that fits the information that you want. Another list of subtopics related to the topic you selected appears. You select the subtopic list appears. You continue to narrow your search in this manner until a list of web sites appears. This list corresponds to the hit list previously discussed. As a rule, if you are searching for general information, use the directory search approach. For example, to find general information about classical music, use a directory search beginning with the category music and then select subtopic classical. If you are searching for specific information, use keyword search that includes the album title and /or the artist’s name.

A recent study by the NEC Research Institute found that any one search engine includes only a fraction of the informational sources on the web. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you use more than one search engine when researching important topics. Or you could use a special type of search engine called a Meta search engine.
